Karrik Fonts

Karrik is an Open Source typeface and an original take on the Grotesque genre. Using a purposely designed irregular drawing and avoiding optical corrections, Karrik aims to recall early naïve and clumsy sans-serifs. The keywords are: #raw #charming #analog.

Authors

Karrik has been designed and engineered by Jean-Baptiste Morizot from Phantom-Foundry and Lucas Le Bihan from Bretagne Type Foundry.

Design information

The initial purpose was a custom font for the 2020 issue of Le Cercle magazine. This issue was about Ghosts, and Karrik answered the brief with this raw sans serif reminding abandonned places filled with clumsy typography.
